• JEE Main 2024 is the entrance exam for admission to engineering colleges like NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
• Registrations for JEE Main 2024 session 1 have started today (November 2, 2023) on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
• The last date to apply for JEE Main 2024 session 1 is November 30, 2023. Application fee can be paid till December 1.
• Eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2024 is passing class 12th or equivalent with minimum 75% marks (65% for SC/ST candidates). Candidates also need to be born on or after October 1, 1999.
• JEE Main 2024 will be conducted in two sessions – January and April. Candidates can appear in either one or both sessions.
• Exam pattern remains unchanged. Paper 1 will have MCQ questions from Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Drawing test added for B.Arch/B.Plan aspirants.
• JEE Main is used for admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. It is also the eligibility test for JEE Advanced for admission to IITs.

So engineering aspirants who meet the eligibility must start applying for JEE Main 2024 now to avoid last minute rush.

JEE Mains 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to pass class 12th or equivalent qualifying exam with minimum 75% marks (65% for SC/ST students). They must have been born on or after October 1, 1999. Appearing candidates can also apply but will need to submit pass certificate at the time of admission.

JEE Main 2024 Exam Date and Session

JEE Main 2024 will be conducted in two sessions

• Session 1: January 24 to February 1, 2024
• Session 2: April 1 to 15, 2024

How to apply for JEE Mains 2024

Visit official website jeemain.nta.nic.in and click on the registration link. Provide details, upload documents and pay registration fee. Upload scanned photo and signature as per specifications. Review and submit the JEE Main 2024 application form before last date.

2. Fill the online JEE Main application form with personal and academic details
3. Upload scanned copies of photograph, signature and other required documents
4. Pay the application and exam fees online
5. Review all details and submit the completed JEE Main 2024 application before the last date

Important Instructions for Candidates

• Carefully check and ensure you meet the prescribed eligibility criteria as per educational qualifications, age limit etc.
• Complete the online application form on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in before the last date of November 30, 2023.
• Provide accurate and valid personal details, contact information, academic details etc while filling the form. Cross-check all entries.
• Upload scanned documents such as photograph, signatures, certificates, ID proof etc. as per the specified format and size given in brochure.
• Pay the application and exam fee online using net banking, credit/debit card, UPI wallet. Save confirmation receipt.
• Download, save and take a print out of the final submitted form. This will be required for future reference.
